About this piece
This necklace was inspired by works of Marianne Anderson, especially her Ornamental Fragments Series and by my dear friend Perri.Light pendant and an asymmetrically placed clasp were entirely hand-made of sterling and fine silver, oxidised to black and polished. The pendant was woven using a macrame knot. A large pearl and a tiny garnet rondelle were set in the pendant. The chain consists of rice freshwater pearls and garnet and hematite faceted rondelles that hang on a strong steel cord.
The necklace is light and the contrasting forms and colours make it a perfect jewelry for a modern/ascetic outfit.
The pendant is 5cm long and 4.5cm wide. The whole chain measures 48cm.
