In past times lovers who wanted to meet secretly have sent to their beloved a key to a hotel room booked for a night of passion. This motif was described in many books and shown in many movies, like "Immortal Beloved" with Gary Oldman and Isabella Rossellini or in "The Age of Innocence" with Daniel Day-Lewis and Michelle Pfeiffer.
This key reminds me of those ornate keys of passion.
Hand-crafted of oxidised sterling and fine silver.
The key measures 6cm by 3cm (2.4'' by 1.2'')
The chain is 64cm (25.5'') long with 9cm (3.5'') of additional chain.
